This year's Third Plenum emphasizes the combination of 'insurance' and 'shipping' and the vigorous development of maritime arbitration to reinforce Hong Kong as a leading international shipping center. Based on the past's successful 'finance' and 'shipping' strategies, this strategic move further adds the professional services of 'insurance' and 'arbitration', giving Hong Kong a global leading advantage. This policy is designed to significantly boost the development of Hong Kong's international shipping, consolidating and enhancing its position as an international shipping centre.

The proposed event is to serve as a forum for insiders in the maritime and legal industries to share their insights on how to seize the development opportunities to grow. The event will also explore on leveraging the many new advantages of Hong Kong arbitration, such as the inception and fast development of AALCO Hong Kong Regional Arbitration Center, the only arbitration institution with international organization status established by international law in Hong Kong that provides practical, fast, and cost-effective solutions for resolving maritime disputes, including marine finance and insurance disputes, instilling confidence in the effectiveness of its services.
